Relasi Karma dan Samsara dalam Pandangan Manawa Dharmaçastra (Mengurai Phala Hasil Karma Kehidupan Pra-Kematian)

Kehidupan manusia dalam pandangan agama Hindu adalah sebuah bentuk samsara/penderitaan. Samsara implikasi dari sesuatu yang disebut karma, sehingga keduanya memiliki relasi sangat erat. Artikel ini berupaya untuk mengkaji antara karma dan samsara Manawa Dharmaçastra sebagai salah satu teks hukum Hindu. Dalam proses penulisan artikel ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan hermeneutika filosofis. Kemudian membantu analisis pengumpulan data, pola Miles Huberman yakni data koleksi, kemudian reduksi display serta terakhir memberikan simpulan telah dianalisis tersebut. Hasil kajian memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa wacana tentang santer dibahas demi kepentingan kulminasi sraddha umat Karma menjadi penyebab mengalami merupakan hal pasti tanpa bisa dibantah sebagaimana dijelaskan pustaka suci Dharmaçastra. Memahami konsepsi harus dilandasi pemahaman utuh tri guna. Sebuah menjabarkan sifat-sifat sattva (kebajikan/kebijaksanaan), rajas (emosi/kesombongan), tamas (kemalasan). Sifat-sifat inilah akan membawa ke kondisi penuh penderitaan. Namun tidak semua penderitaan, pada tujuan akhir moksa sattva. Apabila sifat atau guna didominasi oleh (baik itu jaghanyā tāmasī, madhyamā maupun tamāso ṣuttamā), maka kelak kelahirkannya makhluk hidup tingkat rendah.
